Spring Flowers!

Today we’re getting into flowers. Traditionally flowers have played a big role in decoration when it comes to weddings. They can mean different things to different people - they can be fresh or artificial, abundant or non-existent.

If you were named after a flower, this may be part of the bouquet or theme you choose. For example if your name is Daisy, you may opt to incorporate daisies into your bouquets or on dinner tables or even on your wedding invitation. Let’s get familiar with some spring flowers that you may want to include in your bouquet, garland, centerpiece or invitations. Here we go:

Peony - round bulb with delicate layers - definitely a spring bloom, comes in fifty shades of pink, white, yellow and purple. Focal point of the bouquet or complements a bouquet.

Ranunculus - round with delicate layers, smaller and flatter than peony but similar colors and shape. Ranunculi and peonies bloom in the Eastern US in early Spring.

Lily - large star-like petals and aromatic. Focal point of bouquet. Associated with the Virgin Mary in Christianity.

Hydrangea - Voluminous globe of smaller flowers, comes in pastel shades of blue and pink and also in white. There are superstitions associated with hydrangeas and unwed daughters.

Chrysanthemum - Wide with lots of smooth long petals bursting out from its core. It’s associated with autumn and the month of November.

There are so many flowers to choose from - we’re open to hearing your favorites 🌸 Send an email to Yasmin with your preferred flowers!
